  • Premarket volume check was done at 09:22
  • Yoga meditation mix done for about 15 mins
  • Had a brief family time this morning before getting started
  • Feeling good feeling great, how are you?
  • READY?! SHIIIIT YEAA!!.. I’M READY!

TRADING NOTES

09:32 – Not a fan of that first 3 min candle. Sidelining for now… But nice bounce off 261.8% Fib line (screenshot)

09:37 – Bulls jumping out the gate super strong. Feel like I would have needed to be a permabull to catch it. But it’s not part of any of my setups or my plan so I have to sit and wait for my opportunity. Taking this time to check some headlines.

09:41 – Feel like this is a great day for a practice mode session. Will replay it either later on today or over the weekend.

09:46 – [HINDSIGHT CAPITAL] Would have made since to take an aggressive play, looking at the 1 min chart, on the pullback @ 315. #PowerRange

09:55 – [MESSAGE TO NQ] So we just gonna take off with no pullback huh?.. lol

10:01 – Entry possibility notes (screenshot)

10:03 – Stepping away from desk to get some tea. Safe place to take a break since I’m going to be waiting for a while for a good opportunity

10:13 – Eyeing zone 344 – 333…

10:26 – [HINDSIGHT CAPITAL] Could have been at least scalp play at 350 based on 3 min pivot created around 09:48

10:30 – Cutting off video recording here so I can start the process to upload to YouTube and the website. If a trade is place, will post results on Twitter and add screenshot to journal.

NinjaTrader 8 Struggles – Aug 19, 2020

PREMARKET ROUTINE & THOUGHTS

  • Super quick yoga/meditation session – like 5 mins
  • busy morning with wife’s 0830 time
  • had to update maintenance about apartment issue last night
  • running a little late to actually go live – past 0915 already so…
  • LET’S GET IT! 😊

TRADING NOTES

10:06 – cancelled that order due to price action. It did what I wanted it to do before it pulled back to my entry short.

10:07 – Still working to get over the frustration of missing the trade earlier at 11400. Can’t get caught up in FOMO

10:09 – Horizontal line I drew there based on my fib extension lines

10:10 – Order place there by selling the bid waiting for the price to trade in a location where I would have had a stop limit order placed.. not my ideal way to trade. Stopped out

10:12 – 2 losses for the day. Done for the day as a result. However I just realized the mistake order I placed earlier on the DOM was in Sim mode so it didn’t affect my Leeloo account. Only 1 loss today in the Leeloo combine with 2 contracts for $-32

10:17 – NT8 Control panel visible

10:24 – At this time trying to figure out the DOM or a better way to trade.

10:28 – Sim order trying out the Order Ticket in NT8. Not going to work because it doesn’t have a section to use my ATM Strategy

10:30 – SIGNING OUT. TRADE IT EASY!

EVERY DAY IS A FRESH START

PREMARKET ROUTINE & THOUGHTS

  • Sort of a busy morning
  • Got plenty of sleep.. woke up earlier than usual
  • Meditation and brief yoga session
  • Feeling energetic and relaxed
  • I know the exact setup I am looking for. Need to take them all so I have some real numbers to go off before determining if adjustments need to be made
  • Let’s get it!

TRADING NOTES

10:08 – Looking at pivot at 252.00 – Placed limit order for the bounce. 1 contract

10:14 – Beautiful entry.. Just not enough momentum to keep pushing higher. Stopped out for break even

10:16 – Another bounce off 468.1 line. Wife is disturbing me 🤦🏾‍♂️

10:26 – Looked left to find motivation for that bounce. Basically price bounced off the pivot created by Friday’s high

10:30 – SIGNING OUT. TRADE IT EASY!
