Jun 8, 2018 – Three Strikes

Premarket Insight

Today, seeing decent volume early on everything except NQ (Nasdaq Futures), even though NQ’s volume is higher than it has been all week at this time. GC (Gold Futures) has already had a decent pop early but could possibly be continuing high after this pullback.

Nothing significant on the calendar today to be aware of.

At the Bell

Not much at all happened premarket. Only caught a whole $10 of a struggling GC play bearish, getting out from the action of the 1 and 5 min candles.

More indecision as the market opens, NQ bouncing slightly bullish in a channel in the first 15 minutes. A lot of bearish sentiment from traders on various social platforms today, expecting another flash crash. However, this looks like a good place for the market to bouncing after yesterday’s selloff. Keeping my mind open for anything.

COB Recap

Stopped early today, as I took 3 losses back-to-back putting me down more than 2R on the day. Losses led to frustration and nothing good has ever came from trading while frustrated. Can get back at it next week. Still green for the week, so it is what it is.

Have a great weekend!

Jun 7, 2018 – Just Scalping the Bears

Premarket Insight

I’m a little upset with Nasdaq (NQ) this morning with it making a nice bullrun into new all-time high territory after my trading time in the afternoon. Thought we were friends. LOL Reading news, seems markets’ afternoon push was led by financial stocks.

It’s all good. I expect there will be some retest at some point but staying open to anything in this irrational market. May be wrong for this, but I wouldn’t mind a nice flash crash. #ImJustBeingHonest

Will only play GC (gold) if the volume breaks the 100K mark. Alert set.

At the Bell

Again, another day where not much happened premarket. Spent the premarket working on other business.

NQ leaning more bearish from the bell. Placed my order below the support.

COB Recap

Got 2 nice moderate scalps from the bears after the open. Using a more aggressive strategy could have got much more but there’s nothing ever wrong with getting wins. No more plays after that. Took my ball and went home. 🙂

Jun 6, 2018 – Gray Area

Premarket Insight

Another day of low volume. NQ kept climbing higher but has yet to reach new all-time highs. Again expecting some pullback before breaking into new territory, but what do I know? LOL

Nothing significant on the calendar today to help push the market in any direction. At most, I will be paper trading GC in the premarket again today.

At the Bell

NQ (Nasdaq) started its pullback after 8:30 EST. GC had a nice bullish run after crossing the 100K volume mark, resulting in a successful paper trade premarket.

First 10 mins of market open, just some ping pong action, virtually unplayable.

COB Recap

Took an early L from being too aggressive on entry. Made it back plus some when the market finally decided on a direction, the pullback action I was expecting.

Then proceeded to take 2 more Ls on robot trades as the price continued to chop around. Trying to not get frustrated, but it’s challenging.

Later, was able to return to flat on the day when the market bounced back bullish. Click the image below to get more details from my TraderVue journal.
